2004 Jaguar XJ8 Vanden Plas Test Drive
The all-new XJ sedan’s body was larger than its predecessor and was made entirely from aluminum, riveted together with just a few welds. The strong lightweight body shell improved performance and reduced fuel consumption while allowing for luxurious appointments. These included an optional rear-seat entertainment system with DVD player, video inputs, and dual independently operated screens. Standard were a new six speed automatic gear box, adjustable pedals, an anti-skid/traction-control system, and self leveling air suspension along with automatic adjusting shock absorbers.
