2005 Pontiac Montana SV6 Test Drive

Outfitted with SUV-styling cues, Pontiac’s new Montana SV6 entered uncharted territory.  The transformation to crossover sport van included a higher-profile front end, taller roof, body color C-pillars, 17-inch wheels, and tubular roof rails.  Yet the SV6 continued to offer minivan hallmarks like a low step-in height, flexible seven-passenger seating, and power sliding side doors.  Front- and all-wheel-drive models paired a gutsy 3.5-liter V-6 with a four-speed automatic.  Mobile Digital Media with a PhatNoise PC-compatible hard-drive cartridge was an option sure to keep the kids occupied.
