2005 Porsche Carrera GT Review
The Carrera GT moved Porsche firmly into supercar territory with a car that had a top speed over 200 mph and could accelerate from 0 to 60 mph in 3.6 seconds. The monocoque chassis tub was made of carbon-fiber reinforced plastic. It’s the first car to feature Porches’s Ceramic Composite Clutch, which was extremely compact and contributed to the car’s low center of gravity. It also had ceramic brake rotors. Creature comforts weren’t forgotten as the car came with a special air-conditioning system and Bose sound. Optional luggage was tailor made to fit the few nooks and crannies.
