1989 Mercury Cougar Commercial
Cougar was bound to follow where Thunderbird led, so the Mercury employed the Ford’s basic all-new design for 1989 while retaining its own distinctive styling “cues.” Base LS and sporty XR-7 were again on hand, but XR-7 returned to assisted aspiration, sharing T-Birds SC new supercharged 210-hp V6.
