02000 Pontiac Bonneville SSEi Test Drive
Until 2000 the Bonneville didn’t really seem to belong to the Pontiac family, its rounded lines were just too different. Its revamping was the opportunity to correct this anomaly. It now adopted the “Batmobile” style so dear to the maker, with ribbed panels and an aggressively styled front-end.
Redesigned from the ground up, the Pontiac Bonneville took its “luxury with an attitude” slogan and added a little more of each to the 2000 model. Most notable was the new integrated Chassis Control System that boosted stability during extreme handling situations. New body styling featured cat’s eye headlamps and a steeper hoodline. Roomy interior design let the driver revel in comfort, and varied by trim level choice, like dual climate control, heated programmable seats, and premium Bose sound system.
