1974 Oldsmobile Cutlass Commercials
In the Seventies, Oldsmobile’s Cutlass Supreme coupe established itself s a true American favorite, helping to keep the company coffers full. More than 172,000 Supreme coupes were built for 1974. Olds also launched a Salon package, to attract buyers who favored European touring sedans. A special Olds convertible paced the Indianapolis 500 race. To mark the occasion, Oldsmobile collaborated with Hurst–known for specialty gearshift systems, to create a Hurst/Olds pace car coupe. Not everyone would feel at ease driving a car that flaunted its origin so boldly, but 380 were sold.
