1985 Pontiac Fiero GT Test Drive

Most will argue that the only Pontiac Fiero worth any consideration was the GT V6 in its final year of production when the P-car, finally received a major upgrade to it’s suspension, which it originally rooted to cars such as the Citation, and Chevette. The car took five years to develop, and five years to kill. For 1985 the Fiero received an enhanced front and rear end treatment, that mimics 1984’s Indy Pace Car edition. Are the looks deceiving? According to the host, not so much as the 16.7 quarter mile time was “down right quick”, even with the 3spd automatic transmission, optional over the 4speed manual that equipped the test car. Sassy? I suppose!
