1995: Jaguar Explores an SUV
British luxury car maker Jaguar was tinkering with the idea of an SUV, way back in the 1990s. British rival Rover was stealing luxury-car sales with its posh sport utes, so Jaguar hoped to fight back with help of its parent company.
The logical scenario was to “Jaguarize” the 2002 Ford Explorer. The artist’s rendering below showed one view of what that could have been.
