2000 Jaguar S-Type Test Drive
Jaguar’s 2000 S-Type made a memorable addition to the luxury sedan market. Distinctive styling paid tribute to the S-Type’s classic heritage, and Jaguar’s retro style ingenuity. You could choose either a new 3.0 liter/240 horsepower DOHC V6 or a 4.0 liter/281 horsepower V8 like the ones that powered the XK and XJ Series. Inside the lushly appointed cabin, you found no shortage of innovation. A Voice Activated Control system responded to English commands to allow the driver to operate such things as climate control and audio systems. A navigation system and a host of other features were also available.
