1979: Convertible Mini-Trucks

Made for all the 1979 current model Japanese mini-trucks were the convertible top conversions by C.R. Laurence Co., Los Angeles CA.  The conversion used stock side window glass for a weathertight seal, and the top folded down into itself behind the truck seats and didn’t interfere with camper shells, rollbars or other items in or on the truck bed. Available for Datsun, Toyota, Courier, Mazda, and Luv, kits retailed for $695, and were sold through dealers and installers and cost $895-995 installed.
