01989 Nissan 240SX Test Drive
When redesigning the ‘SX’, Nissan decided to return to a real sports car design, the same that inspired the first SX. The new 1989 model, called the 240SX, because its engine displacement was increased form 2 to 2.4 liters. It was also available as a 2-door coupe, whose rear seats had more head room than the hatch. Both possessing soft clean lines. The big 4-cylinder was not a road burner, but it died allow very pleasant driving and comfort. Rear wheel drive, typical of a traditional sports car, encouraged fun driving.
