1989: Show Car Themed Cadillacs
Here were some prospects for the 1993 Eldorado, and Seville. Cadillac fans could see several resemblances to the Voyage show car of a year earlier, and Solitaire, making the show circuit for 1989. The new cars incorporated elements of the E, K, and C though the surviving designation remained K. The new chassis was reportedly about 3 inches longer than the outgoing platform and clearly remained front wheel drive. The North Star aluminum 4.6 V8 speculation was also correct, though power wasn’t guessed, rumors surrounded Lotus as the engineering basis for the new engine architecture.
