1993 Pontiac Bonneville SLE Test Drive

The Bonneville was bout as sporty as big American cars got; at the top was the SSEi, with swoopy styling, big wheels and tires, and a supercharged version of the 3.8-liter V-6.  Even the base SE model was pretty assertive; for enthusiasts who didn’t want the supercharged engine, ther was the SLE (Sport Luxury Edition) option on the SE.  ON all models, antilock brakes and a driver-side airbag were standard, and a passenger-side airbag was optional on the SSE, standard on the SSEi.  This was a lot of car.
