2005 Chevrolet Corvette Test Drive
Smaller, lighter, more powerful and sophisticated, the sixth-generation Corvette had arrived. Beneath the all-new, evolutionary styling with exposed headlights, 85 percent of its content had changed. A new 400-horsepower, 6.0-liter LS2 V-8 rocketed the Vette from 0-60-mph in 4.3 seconds. A Tremec six-speed manual, a four-speed automatic, and three suspension choices were offered. new options included a power convertible top, OnStar, XM Satellite Radio, a touch screen DVD-based navigation system, and dual-mode head-up display. The ultra-high-performance Z06 would follow for 2006.
