1989: Mazda’s NA MX-5 to Have Had a Coupe?
Mazda’s NA MX-5 Miata, the pretty little roadster that took shape on drawing boards in California, was to be joined by a hard top coupe. Sources in Japan said the Miata derivative would have a fixed steel roof and small glass rear three quarter windows, but would be otherwise identical to the roadster.
